Frequently Asked Questions

Do you charge a travel fee?

Areas subject to a travel fee include:

Dorchester, Arlington, Natick, Medford, Malden, Waltham, Melrose, Lexington, Winchester, Quincy, Roslindale, Chelsea, Revere, Lynn

How can I pay you?

Payment for private training classes, hikes, virtual sessions and training walks will now be due at the time of booking. You will be sent a link to book a service and will be asked to pay via PayPal then. Payment for boarding trials, boarding stays and day trains can be paid via Venmo, please note that I do have a late payment fee.

What is your cancellation/rescheduling policy?

  • To avoid a cancellation fee, please provide a cancellation notice at least 48 hours prior to your appointment or you will be charged the full price.*

*If this is the first time you cancel a session last minute, you will only be charged half the price of the class.

What is your refund policy?

There is no “guaranteed success or get your money back” system implied with dog training. Hiring a dog trainer means you are paying for their time and expertise, just like you would with any other professional. When it comes to dog training, it’s really the trainer teaching the dog owner how to help the dog (unless it is a board and train situation) and not the trainer providing a miraculous fix.

When is payment due?

  • Payment for private training classes, scentwork classes, virtual sessions, training walks, day trains and hikes is due at the time of booking.

  • Payment for the boarding trial is due at drop off.

  • Payment for boarding is due at drop off.

In order to discourage late payments for services that can only be paid via Venmo (boarding stays and boarding trials), we have introduced a late payment penalty system. Any outstanding payments beyond the agreed-upon deadline will be subject to a 10% late payment fee per day.

Why is your boarding policy strict?

Boarding dogs in my apartment is a huge liability. Making sure they are ok in the crate is extremely important to me because safety is my number one priority. If I need to run out for an emergency, I need to be able to have the dogs crated and be sure that they will not try to break out of the crates and tear my apartment so shreds, or worse, ingest anything that could potentially kill them. I need to be able to run out of my apartment without fearing for a dog’s life/safety. This is why I require all dogs who board with me to be fully crate trained, this means your dog can spend a few hours in the crate, calmly. I am personally not comfortable having dogs at liberty in my apartment if I cannot supervise them. Even then, I like to implement structure to prevent incidents from happening when there are multiple dogs in the same room.
